Hidden Bay
Hidden Bay
Site Minimum: 10 people
Site Maximum: 35 people
Description: A deceptively large site. Either cluster all tents in a large central area, or spread patrols out along lake-shore. (Note that the HSR property boundary is only about 50 m east of the shore.)
Exposure: West and south. Great sun from noon on. Also gets prevailing westerly breezes (and storms) so bugs are usually blown away.
Travel Time (by canoe)
>> to Hub = 30 - 45 min.
>> to Main End / Parking = 60 - 75 mins
Comments: One of the 'farthest' campsites from the program areas and the Country Store (a long way to go for drinking water). A variety of wildlife.
Campsite Name Meaning: Because it was in Hidden Bay!
